Although we know that development of employees is one of the best ways to keep employees engaged, it is not always prioritized. How often do we think about our own development and our own leadership but forget those around us or who report to us? In his book Good to Great, Jim Collins advises to “get the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and then get the right people in the right seats on the bus.” What are you as a leader doing to get those right people in the right seats? How are you supporting them to have the right tools for their current positions but also the skills needed for the future?
