June 2024
The Workshop: Enhancing Organizational Capacity to Serve People with Challenging Reputations, Significant Behavioral Challenges, or Forensic Backgrounds will be held virtually Thursday, June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 1 PM to 5 PM Eastern Time (10 AM to 2 PM Pacific Time). Join the National Leadership Consortium and Benchmark Human Services for this virtual Workshop (https://www.natleadership.org/EnhancingOrgCapacityWorkshop/) focused on enhancing your organization’s ability to serve people with more challenging behaviors; addressing the staffing and funding issues inherent in expanding services to people with challenging reputations, potentially dangerous behaviors and/or forensic backgrounds; supporting organizations within your state to be more competent and confident in serving this challenging population; and learning how the values and practices of your organization can be applied to successfully support people with significant behavioral needs. The June Reconnecting Session, Maintaining Momentum: Strategies to Promote Wellbeing and Support Positive Change , will be held on June 26th at the Inn at Villanova University in Villanova, PA. The Leadership Institute is for emerging and established leaders working in the disabilities field. If you are a leader who works for a state department of developmental disabilities within the United States (applicable to the Winter and Summer Leadership Institute only), a leader with a disability, or a Direct Support Professional, you can apply for scholarship support to cover tuition and a travel & hotel stipend!
