Why Leadership Development?

Our field faces a leadership crunch marked by systemic workforce retention and engagement challenges and large numbers of current executive leaders reaching or surpassing retirement age. The Consortium recognizes the responsibility to respond to this ongoing challenge by joining forces with major disability organizations to offer intensive training and support for emerging and established sector leaders.

What does the Leadership Development Program Offer?

The Wisconsin Leadership Development Program offers a select group of leaders from organizations across the state the opportunity to come together with a faculty of national experts in advancing services and human rights of people with disabilities. By participating in this leadership development program, emerging and established leaders will feel more confident in their own leadership skills, more sure of their capacity to positively impact their organizations, and reinvigorated toward their professional purpose to work to assure lives of meaning and impact for people with disabilities.

Another highlight of our programs is the relationships that are built. Participants will leave with a network of colleagues and enduring relationships with some of the most influential leaders in the field.
