Join us online in January and February 2027 to build connections with leaders from across the country!

If you work in the IDD field and believe that better leadership leads to better outcomes for people with IDD, the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities (NLCDD) Virtual Leadership Institute is for you. The Virtual Leadership Institute brings together IDD sector professionals from across the country, from the comfort of your own home/ desk/ coffee shop. When you log on to each session, you’ll build practical skills, deepen your thinking, and connect with a network of peers who understand the work.

We’ve transformed our flagship program into a multi-day, intensive, eight-session virtual Leadership Institute, knowing that for some people, meeting virtually over several weeks just makes more sense. Each virtual session combines expert speakers, interactive exercises, leadership assessments, and a structured leadership challenge. You’ll gain clarity on your leadership style, build actionable plans with practical tools, and join a community of practice that provides ongoing support long after the program ends.

  • 93% of graduates report that attending the Leadership Institute contributed to their personal impact as a leader
  • 91% report that attending contributed to changes that improve their organizations and the lives of people with disabilities
